Becoming was the inaugural exhibition by Nommo House, introducing a platform dedicated to expanding access to exhibition space for emerging artists.
The one-day exhibition brought together over 20 artists across photography, painting, and mixed media, exploring transformation as an ongoing, collective process.
The exhibition welcomed over 1,100 attendees, with a line extending down the block—underscoring the demand for accessible, community-driven cultural spaces in Washington, DC.
Becoming set the foundation for what Nommo House continues to build: space for artists, and space for connection.
Inheritance
11:Eleven Gallery
Inheritance was Nommo House’s second exhibition, presented over Juneteenth weekend in Washington, DC. Bringing together over 30 emerging artists, the exhibition explored what we inherit, what we carry forward, and what we choose to leave behind.
Across photography, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, artists reflected on memory, lineage, identity, and the traditions that shape us.
Welcoming more than 800 visitors over the weekend, Inheritance expanded Nommo House’s vision for accessible, artist-centered cultural spaces rooted in community and connection.
